Terpenes - straight-up, please.
Have you taken the slight right at the fork in the road where you end up adding pure terpenes to your day? Ok, first of all, please don't condemn me for passing along any loose information here. I am brand new the science of it and I would ask that you add to the conversation and I will publish your knowledge right here. But so far... overall?... I like the whole notion of what this additive is all about.
In short: Terpenes are what you smell in the cannabis plant. It is secreted through the same gland in the plant that CBD and THC are. Alone, they are not psychoactive. They are used to add aroma and flavor primarily in four palates - citrus, berry, mint and pine. To date over a hundred terpenes have been detected in cannabis.
It was recommended to me that I use them in addition to shatter and that it would activate certain effects within my nervous system and could modify how much THC passes through the blood-brain barrier. Using added terpenes have been known to alter the rate of dopamine and serotonin your brain will process. The effects of some terps will include memory and recall elevation, sleep assistance and more.
Me> I quite like how they taste on my dabs.
